We use Ocean Graphics video lights. The battery pack
is an aluminium tube with hard plastic (delrin?) ends.

The light heads are heavy cast aluminium.

The battery pack shorted on one of Jamie's lights and
etched a hole through the tube (he noticed it when his
thumb went through it). So maybe perspex would be better 
for the tubes.

But the metal heads are excellent heat sinks. And rugged 
enough to survive dive boats.
