OK, just to stop the flames starting I'm not going to say anything about the reliablity of Cochran products. Some work great, some don't. Now, getting to my question, there's been alot of discussion about placing O2 sensors in humid breathing gas environments such as the inhalation bag of any rebreather regardless of design. Cochran has come out with this new device called the "Lifegaurd", basically designed to be placed in a rebreather inhalation bag. They state that it uses a 'Water Tolerant O2 sensor' and can supply PO2 information with a Nemesis IIa Nitrox, type of device. They also state that it can be plumbed into a semi-closed unit like the Drager Atlantis One. This solves one of the most basic problems associated with the use of the Atlantis, NOT KNOWING what your breathing. Can any of you techno weenies comment on this combination. Please don't flame me just for mentinoning, the Atlantis and Cochran, I'm concerned more with the theory, then the manufactures reputations. Thanks, Steve Merenkov PS: George please don't slam me just because I can't afford a Halcyon...
