The advantages of burst discs are debatable
for non-life support but a joke for divers.

Tanks still explode and guess what they have burst
discs.

The fire risk I can see, but in Australia industrial
gas cylinders don't have them, but diving cylinders
do!? I think this is a carry over from the early
days when 72's got rusty inside, and never
inspected.
