I read Jarrods explanation of Hogathian style
with reference to manifolds and he says the only
exeption to their use are solo and sidemount
diving. 

The best way to define solo diving is when you
are not buddy diving. Buddy diving means within
close proximity, note this does not mean within
sight given the extent of visibility at some
sites.

Therefore the hogathian style dictates I use
independents when I wreck dive, as I do not dive
as a disiplined buddy team, nor do I always do
the same bottom time as other divers, that
is I am not diving as a buddy team.
