Subject:RE>>Question: Diving with Asthma

I have dived for five years with "mild asthma' - (I am triggered by infetions
ie cold (don't dive), irritating inhalants - (not many in dive mixtures))

I have dived most of the gases(air, Nitrox, Long O2 deco, Trimix) and never
had a problem....... I have had long hard swims have you tried the english
channel tides ?? - I have had long(ish) warm water O2 deco (trimix FL cave
dives - not the ten hours or so George and the guys do) and long(ish) O2 cold
deco - Try Scapa Flow in early may some time

"Mr Lungs" comment "Don't do it" is one bold statement - as for no doctor will
pass an asthmatic fit for diving - they do in the UK - that included the
mandatory chest xray aswell (althought these are not done any more as
mandatory)
