Pete,

I dive this unit with an OTS buddy phone and love it. The main thing in
my opinion is to practice flooding and clearing the mask. I would also
recommend the positive pressure (more expensive) mask. It keeps your mask
fog free, it's a real pleasure.

Now as far as the safety issue... It probably is not a bad idea to have a
second mask strapped somewhere so you can see when you switch to your
back-up reg. This is a good example of where the WKPP version of where to
put your back-up reg is a life saver. If you are going to need air and a
mask at some point , why not make at least one of them easy (especially if
it's the air)? Then practice switching.

The down side to this unit is that you tend to use air a little faster
with the positive pressure mask as I never seem to be able to keep a
trickle of bubbles from escaping around the seal. The up side is breathing
through your nose, and more humid air.

Remember to practice the emergency stuff with the unit. Good luck.
