Subject: Interspiro (AGA) full face mask

I wish to purchase an Ocean Technology Systems (OTS) UW ommunication
system that integrates a Poseidon ODIN 2nd stage reg into an Interspiro
(formerly AGA) full face mask.  Obviously there is more too this COM
system than the mask and regulator, but my question only concerns these
components.

What safety issues should I be concerned with?  For example, must I
carry a standard mask and snorkel?  If I don't carry these spares, and
my FFM 2nd stage fails, what other practical safety alternatives do I
have?

I don't dive cave, I currently don't dive wrecks, but I may go deep (for
me, 130'-150' is deep).  I do shoot video, usually fairly shallow
35'-100').  In fact, I plan to narrate my video UW, putting something
besides bubbles on the audio track.
