Hi Brent Welcome to the net. With your interest in TEK diving I do have a few words that might help. 1. You mentioned the price of the education, well my friend TEK diving at the moment is on the apex when it comes to recreational diving. It takes a lot of prerequisite experience, excellent diving skills, problem management, proper attitude good quality equipment and the right type of education to name just a few. The good professional instructors out there have shown a commitment to the sport. They have paid out thousands of $s for their diving, equipment and education. These professionals have the ability and skills to safely educate divers to dive beyond these so called "maximum recreational depth limits". Most of them are unlikely to sell their skills cheaply. What training agency should you go with? Well that could really start a shit fight and I am personally biased so I will not get into it. What I will say however, is that it depends on your instructor, check around get feed back from others that have had training from these guys. Their are some really good guys out there. TEK diving is a tool to complete your dive objectives, not to look cool or look like the front cover of an old TEK magazine. In the end you will have to be ready to part with some $s. Dive gear for TEK diving can be expensive purchase and maintain, if you are not prepared to spend it, stick to your normal diving and have fun doing it. Enjoy Paul Morrall PADI CD25267 ANDI ITD #02
