Hi George,
Yup it is a good configuration, or at least one that is simple and =
clean. I just had a chance today to dive the Scuba Pro FFM and I must =
say in bang for the buck, this is one hell of a mask. I was using the =
latest one? that was plumbed for a rebreather except that I was using an =
Odin fed from the left as per the AGA. The visibility is great (the AGA =
sucks looking down the body), has a much lower profile and seals well. I =
do like the overpressure AGA but the Scuba Pro definitely gets a thums =
up also.
Dan.

I know nothing of cold water, but do use the FFM on some deco's: I =
agreee=20
with you that the spare mask in the FFM situation must be immediately=20
deployable, and around the neck is the obvious choice. This allows you =
to use a=20
normal rig even though you have the FFM. We use the Scuba Pro , which =
allows any=20
Scuba Pro reg to be plugged in by just removing the mouthpiece, so if =
you carry=20
another mouthpiece in your pocket, you can revert to completely normal =
stuff in=20
a flash.I also agree with using the short hose to feed the mask in your=20
sitiuation, since the long hose must be ready to do anything, including =
replace=20
the short hose. Clipped off on the right shoulder d-ring is the spot.=20
