Randy,
small hope bay lodge has been doing that for over 20 years.I had
friends that went there back in 1973.I ASSUME their record is
good, since they are still in operation,BUT!!!!
Deep diving on air is an inherently unsafe practice. The question
is,where does one draw the line?I'm not going to debate that here. What
i WILL say,is that diving to a specific (deep) depth is not a reason
to be impressed.Tongue in the Ocean is supposed to be a beautiful dive
(hearsay,I've never been personally) ,but so is Looe key (about 20'
deep).Ask yourself,"am I seeing this site in the safest possible
manner?"..if you're diving air to excessive depth, the answer is "no".
Most people will be MORE impressed to find that you've seriously
considered all the risks, and have chosen the safest plan of action.
Hope you enjoy your vacation, and have some wonderful, safe diving.
