A.APPLEYARD WROTE:

any chance of a list of names and prices...

don't know about the prices... we couldn't get much information from
the forum.. the general opinion of the rebreather manufacturers towards
the technical community was that we are all "bungie jumpers"... just
going for the thrill... i am working on a full report on the forum
for interested partys, here is the stuff you probably really want;

Rich & John, help me keep my info straight if you will please...

Prisim Life support Systems LTD
Mr. Peter Readey
Trellugan Quarry, Landrake, Cornwall. PL125ES U.K.
as rich posted you may try one of these for yourself this month
at Hal Watts forty fathom grotto in florida.. ph 904-896-6294,
the cost is around $ 150.00 for the two or three day course, will
let you know more after the 24th as i'm scheduled to be there.

at the forum hal was talking quite abit about the unit, said it
was great and they had dived it alot at his place of business over
the past few months.. at first he said $ 3,500, then after a few
hours it was up to $ 5,000... think the $ 3,500 was wholesale or
something.

uk's diver mag may 94 had an article on the prism

got the impression that they planned to stick to their o2 units
and that they were happy with their military and search and
recovery customers... weren't looking at any other commerical
applications... (were they looking at us as bungie jumpers too)

Grand Bleu

bill flew in and out at the forum... wouldn't say a word about
the companies plans... i called them directly in new york and
they were quite rude about the whole thing... was told by
two others in the industry that they got the same impression.
(remember that we have *some* experience dealing with japanese
business here in hawaii, i thought that might make a difference..
