Back in February 1989, a bunch of us went up to Big Tub Lodge in Tobermory for a weekend of ice diving. Saturday night they served beans, and Sunday we were outside in our drysuits all day, diving, sitting as safety diver for each other, line tending, or just standing around and periodically telling each other "Boy, I sure pity whoever unzips my suit tonight". Ultimately, of course, everyone did have enough freediving experience that it wasn't a problem to take a deep breath, unzip a suit, and get upwind before inhaling again. And even then, this was nothing new and nobody thought to patent the idea. As I recall, too, we were thinking of it more in terms of redundant inflation than for warmth. -- Anthony DeBoer http://www.onramp.ca/~adb/ adb@he*.re*.or* (here) adb@ge*.co* (work) #include "std.disclaimer"
