If the average buyer out there wanted something other than a really snazzy-looking vehicle for the lowest possible price, then the industry would put somebody other than stylists and beancounters in charge. I'd say the customer has a lot to do with the type of product that's offered. We see the same thing in dive gear, with life-support equipment offered in a selection of designer colours. If people didn't go in and buy all the colours, then you wouldn't see as many choices in the store. Likewise for the equipment-compulsive tek-wannabe diver; there are lots of convoluted toys out there to bring in his money. Successful companies are successful _because_ they know how to find out what the customer wants and how to be there to give it to him/her. Companies with an agenda of wanting to give the customer what they feel would be best for him/her, as opposed to what he/she wants, are left by the wayside. -- Anthony DeBoer http://www.onramp.ca/~adb/ adb@he*.re*.or* (here) adb@ge*.co* (work) #include "std.disclaimer"
