What exactly do you want, SpeleoMan?  You've got a lot of nice
conspiracy theory wind here, but no suggestions on how you would 
like to see things work.

Do you believe the NACD (or any training organization, for that 
matter) should have no training standards?  Or do you believe
the training standards should promote techniques known to be
inferior?  If not, then why on earth would you have a problem 
with George?  He is simply plugging the approach he believes to 
be the best, and he's very persuasive because he backs up his 
ideas with facts.  If you think something else is better, then
go ahead and disagree -- just don't expect people to listen if
if you can't or don't back up what say.

As for whether JJ is part of "the conspiracy" -- do find a way
to meet him sometime.  Talk to him for 5 minutes and you will 
walk away with no doubt at all that he's an ideal person to be 
Training Director, and you'll think you were out of your mind 
for suggesting otherwise (which you are).

As for whether George's persona on these lists is obnoxious or 
not, that is a boring old argument... If you're having problems 
tuning in the message and tuning out the delivery, you need a 
better mailreader or a longer attention-span.  Maybe both.
