There's actually a home page on the web for DHEA. It's not sold without a
prescription in the US, but is often taken in the form of a mexican yam
extract. Usually this product is not standardized as to DHEA
content/purity.
While it is true that the serum levels of DHEA, a hormone precursor, fall
with age, no definitive benefit has been proven for supplementing your
diet with DHEA. It has been used as a supplement for people with wasting
due to cancer or AIDS and its use in this situation is anecdotally
beneficial.
It has no specific anti-oxidant properties to my knowledge.
