Your anecdotal info is appreciated. Since we don't
actually have any large scale trials (1000 rats fed
Lariam 1 kg/kg of body weight and then dropped to
500 fsw on air - is this Deep Air training or what?)
We apply the Old Guild Rule - Dazzle 'em with Bullshit

So: Lariam, a quinolone is a member of a class of drugs
assocaited with hyperexcitable reactions (read occasional
seizures). Doxycycline is not.

Lariam, despite the CDC's protestations, doesn't
work as well as doxycycline in areas like the 
South Pacific.

I am not allergic to doxy. I don't like to sit in the sun in the South Pacific.
That's why I dive. No suntan for me.

This is a no-brainer for me.
