This trip is open to all UK divers, and is an opportunity to put faces to those 'network' divers names. Diving ====== The plan is to dive four wrecks in Lyme bay over a two day period. The wrecks I am considering are: Salsette (48m) P&O liner sunk 1917 Buccaneer (48m) Admiralty tug Empress of India (48m) Royal Sovereign Class Battleship sunk 1913 Pomeranian (39m) CPOS Cargo liner sunk 1918 St Dunstan (32m) Dockyard Bucket Dredger sunk 1917 Moidart (39m) Collier sunk 1917/18 This list is negotiable, but I plan to do one deep wreck in the Morning, and a shallower wreck in the afternoon. All of the wrecks are deepish and silty. Visibility ranges from excellent to not so excellent, currents on all wrecks should be fairly negligible. Dates ===== I have booked the 'Channel Warrior' for the 15th and 16th of August of this year (Monday and Tuesday). This boat sails from Westbay harbour and has access to all the main wrecks in Lyme Bay. This trip is limited to twelve divers, and spare bottles will have to be taken for the second dive each day. Costs ===== The cost of diving will be 20 UKP per diver per day. Air (available in Westbay) is 2 UKP per fill. Accomodation will be organised nearer the time. Equipment ========= All divers should ideally have an alternative air supply and a means of carrying out decompression off the shot line (deco marker). ========================================================================== For those divers who have already shown an interest in this trip, and for any new divers interested, I am now collecting a 20 UKP deposit. I need to confirm the boat booking within the next fortnight. Feel free to mail me to clarify any details of the trip. More details of the wrecks can be found in Dive Dorset, or direct from me. Deposits should be sent to Callum Beveridge 24 Essex St Reading Berkshire England RG2 0EH and you should confirm via e-mail that you are sending a deposit. Note, that due to the nature of Lyme Bay, if the weather prevents the diving from taking place, then there will be a full refund. There are no 'Alternative' dive sites as there are at Weymouth. If we can't dive what we want to do, then we can't dive at all. -- Callum Beveridge International Computers Limited Tel: +44 (0)344 472958 Lovelace Road Fax: +44 (0)344 473246 Bracknell Berkshire Mail: cb@oa*.ic*.co*.uk* RG12 8SN c.beveridge@br*.wi*.ic*.co*.uk* _/_/_/ _/_/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/_/ _/_/ _/ _/_/_/_/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/_/_/ _/ _/ _/_/_/ _/_/_/ _/_/ _/ _/ Life's a beach, then you dive!
