John, I see you sent that piece to Stone. I know Stone would not be stupid enough to use any of those techniques in his design, but who is the genius in your group who thought that sending members of your team to train on this unit would in any way satisfy your requirements to be trained on the MK5? Also, I hope you do not really think that any rebreather would make any difference for some of you guys. For the ones you were sending to Miami, the cave could be dry and they could not get to the end of our lines. You will actually have to dive the MK 5 in cave, and prove that you can do any of the things you say you will do someplace. Swimming pools don't count. This whole line of horseshit in the diving community is looking sillier by the day. The bottom line is that the same guys who do the big diving now are the same guys who will always do it with any equipment, because they are the ones who do it. "Do" it is the operative word here, not sit around and pontificate or speculate about it, or go to Weenieland and dive at ten feet, or go to Eagle's Nest and jerk off with the big-time "teckkies". You will find out what trippling my distance means when you try to go 1/3 as far (about the limit of 129 attempts last time) - that is where your lack of knowledge , experience, expertise, efficiency, practice, teamwork, proper equipment, skill, physical conditioning, proven comittment, track record and "clue" will pale by comparison to the realization that will sweep over you causing you to immediately reach down between your legs and confirm what we all know right now - there is nothing there to work with. That is when the only piece of equipment your really know how to use, your thumb, will come out. My personal suggestion is that all of you practice that maneuver right now before something awfull happens. Take a look at those rebreather comments and ask yourself, "Do I fell lucky?" - "Well, do ya, John?" George M.
