The twenty-three bottles thing refers to one 10K dive as folows: four were safety 300 bottles, six were 300 stage bottles, four were one 80 backup of each deco gas, three were oxygen, two were air, two were 35%, and two wre 50%. As far as carrying several at once, this is no probelm as our gear config is so clean it is easy to deal with, but the personal preference turkeys probably have a better way, right? Try this with az "technical" bc, and you will discover that the only thing "technical" is the price. I am diving with $200 worth of wings and harness, but then I am not a big time technical diver. For Herve, two bottles on the left in normal fashion, the third by its nose from the hip, the fourth on the right , the fifth with the third and the sixth with the fifth, the seventh with the second scooter, and the eitth with t he second scooter, etc. The problem with all of this is that one first has to be able to actually dive and the term "task loading" must be something that never applies to you. Task loading to me means dealing with strokes while I am trying to get ready to dive, not anything to do with diving. Also, noen of this works with the wrong config, the wrong gear, the wrong tanks, the wrong way of rigging them, so all of you who have a better way need to get out your logbooks and ask yourselves why nothing like what I do is in there, and that goes for the alligator-mouthed dive instructors who constantly complain about me. I also do not want to hear why a rebreather is bettter for these dives since nobody is using one for any cave dives except Isler, and he has the missing three ingredients that the U.S. Bigmouths do not: experience, ability , and balls .
