Micheal,

I read your post with interest. However, I don't understand how you got to
feel that WKPP was downplayed and JJ was attacked.

I subscribe to the list since way before George even knew the list was
existing. I never read anyone saying anything bad things about JJ. All I
read were compliment and message of appreciation. I know several divers who
were trained by JJ and all of them are very satisfied.

George is not WKPP. However, he is the Project Director and I believe he
should act as such. I know several WKPP divers and none of them are acting
like George. WKPP acheived outstanding results and to me, it is well proven
that WKPP procedures are successful.

Occasionally, George contributes positively to the list. I guess that these
occasional messages are enough to justify that he brings value to the list.
However, I feel that badmouthing, personal attacks, name calling are not
contribution at all (if you want see how far it can go, look at the
archives for 'TOM, READ THIS'). Many, many subscribers do not want to
contribute anymore because of that attitude. As well, many very valuable
contributors disapeared. Long time subscribers such as Rich Pyle certainly
understand what I'm saying.

Again nothing justify unrespectful behavior. I promote safer diving too.
In my area, I wrote many articles that were published. I made presentations
and I am not shy of telling a guy that he's doing bad things when I see him.
However, I never treated anyone of 'asshole', 'stroke', 'moron', etc... The
arguments should be around the treated subject, not around the individuals.

>It is time for those that take pleasure in the WKPP bashing to STOP.

I agree. And I wish WKPP will also stop bashing the rest of the planet.
For example, I read dozens of messages from George and other WKPP members
downplaying the USDCDT. I never, never saw anything from the targetted
group against the WKPP. Who is bashing who? Tell me!

>Those of you that have been involved with the letter writing to the state,

I am not aware of a letter to the state, but for the rest, I agree.

>our time, effort or expense.

This is well said. I hope that everyone understand what you just wrote.
