That's an excellent analogy for the question I keep asking myself about

You're talking about the Atlantic.  Come with me back to PNG next year - 
I'll show you more life at 350' than what you'll ever find on all the 
carribean reefs (dep & shallow) combined.  Hell, if we find a really 
obnoxious new species way in the back of some cave, I'll name it after you.

Don't I wish.  That's actually the long-term plan.  First I gotta get my 
Ph.D., and all this diving bullshit is getting in the way.  My Ph.D. has 
nothing to do with new species or even getting wet (except getting 
alchohol on my fingers when I pull dead fish out of jars).
