George, You're the expert. The principal behind batteries for a scooter can't be all that different from batteries for a video light: lots of power needed, long burn times etc. From your post did I understand correctly that you can run one of your scooters on a lithium type and or a nicad battery costing about $100 bucks for 2 1/2 hours? How many amp hours is that. I assume you are using a 24v system, correct? As you know, the AUL lights mostly use lead acetate gelcells, because they are cheap (well not very) and no partial charge problems. But they are heavy suckers and bash the acrylic cases (costly). Do you have another, better solution?...while we mere airbreathing mortals await the arrival of the electric arc light lamps, which are reputed to be as revolutionary as cold fusion and as ephemeral.
