George, where can I find those reports? And who are they compared with? If
PFO exists in 30% of "normal" people then you would have to have about
100+ cases of paradoxic AGE, all with PFO, to be sure that the PFO and AGE
were truly associated.

Speaking of which, why do you and I use AUL acrylic case lights, which
klutzs like me manage to break before I can even get it in the water? Is
Florida karst easier on molded acrylic than LA quakes?

What would you have honestly done, if when tested you were told you
had a PFO, given up diving?

Does that read, when you get to adulthood you take more care?

I'm not a gambler because, as an epidemiologist, I don't like the odds. In
you scenario, I'd be MUCH more interested in the odds of you pulling the
trigger, than whether the machine happened to play two oranges and a faded
red apple. With a gun to my head you could decide they _were_ oranges.

The last time I played in a casino was the Bahamas. After winning $12 at
the wheel adn refusing to play again (the odds are terrible) I bet my
companions that if I crumpled up a $ bill and let it drop, as if by
mistake to the floor, it would be picked up in under 10 secs. We got down
to 4 secs - an amazing lady did a limbo style back reach that had us
breaking out in applause. This attracted the attantion of the management
who threw us out because we were contributing to crime and more
importantly, were not paying them a percentage.

If you are going to throw your money away, you might as well have some fun
doing it, PFO or no PFO.
