Sam (via techdiver) -- The problem is still, "Why can't you buy one". Might save some lives if beginning divers could start off doing this one right, which means getting it supplied by the reg manufacturers or on the shelf in the dive shop. Last I looked, all dive shops had around here were hose clips and the silly little mouthpiece cups that keep newbies from ever breathing their octopus to see if it still works. I had one of those for a week. Not my smartest week either. Regards Dave Smith U Tx School of Public Health Sam Frushour wrote: Lance Why bother looking to buy one when they are easy to make. A piece of surgical tubing formed in a loop with the ends overlapping about 2 1/2 inches. cinch the ends to the tube with plastic cable ties and walla!, you have a loop that goes around your neck with a slit to trap a reg mouthpiece in. If the loop is the proper length you can get the reg in your mouth without using your hand.
