Lance,

The dive shop folks may be thinking that you want one of the old
Scubapro neck straps.

Just get some surgical tubing and fit a length of it around your neck <G>
The length should be about 2-2.5 feet. Use a tie wrap to connect one
end of the hose to the other end of the hose leaving about 6 inches free.
Place the mouthpiece of you reg where the hoses are joined and tie
wrap the free end over the mouthpiece to the other hose such that
the hose from the right side of the reg goes over the reg mouthpiece
and the hose from the left side goes under the mouthpiece. When you
are finished, there should be a tie wrap on each SIDE of the reg
mouthpiece. It should be tight enough not to slip out, but can be pulled
away if neccesary (allow the elastic properties of the tubing to take
care of this). The large loop goes around your neck BEFORE putting the
long hose around you neck.

george..

in your video, you use a neck-strap mounted backup reg. i have been to 4
dive shops in the dallas area, and everyone of them told me they can't get
the straps because they are unsafe and have not been used for a very long
time. please shed some light on this for me. bear in mind that my normal
shop does not cater to overhead divers so i was forced to go elsewhere.
please don't say that it is because people from dallas should not be diving
in the first place(i've seen too many of your posts). i need to know if i
should use one and if so, where to buy it...

thanks,

v
