Sounds pretty simple to me. He should do what the shop taught him when he bought the BCD. If they didn't show him how to put the loops thru the eyelets and then pass the cable thru the loop he shouldn't buy anything else from them. If he didn't pay attention or can't remember then he shouldn't be diving. I use a zeagle BC but I am also one of the overweight, overage, stroke instructors that george is always ranting about. I also get in over 100 cold water (Puget Sound) dives per year and flunked two of the students in my last OW class as they couldn't meet my or PADI's standards.
