Well Dennis if all of the ccr 500 has the 3.5 mil hours then it has to be
the mk15 and the it is suppossed to be a new unit. personally you take the
proven old and I'll opt for the evolution of a better technology. better,
more efficient electronics, better sensors, more dependabel hardware, I
truly beleive a 90's technology beats a 70's technology in almost everything
cars,boats, airplanes, dive equipment and especially in fully closed circuit
units. 

That does mean i do not think the unit is excellent it just means that only
closed minded person would assume modern technology with the advances made
by growing from the short commings of old technology was not a step forward
in safety and dependability. 

On the odessey it is an already proven concept as pointed out by Barrie
except it has the advantage of being updated. Yes I agree it is prudent to
have a po2 monitor and mind will.
