It is possible to use the "normal" diverite wings with single tanks, with a
small amount of work. Since the wings are so large, they can be uncomfortable
to use with singles. But if you cut a few holes in the center of the backpack
(using small grommets is better), and tie a THIN piece of surgical tubing around
the wings. The tubing allows the wings to expand fully, BUT will collapse the
wings with less air in them. I've found that 3 pieces of surgical tubing on
each side works just fine.
If you don't feel like spending money on the diverite single tank holder, you
can make one yourself out of a piece of 6" PVC piping, 2 cambands, a drill and
rasp. If anyone would like directions on making one, please e-mail me directly.
This is much cheaper than the overpriced Diverite holder.
