This was posted to me, so I thought I would forward it to techdiver, thinking many readers would be interested in these technical specialty manuals. I'll apologize in advance to any who thinks this may be commercial advertising. /John IANTD announces availablity of new training manuals Miami, FL., May 12, 1994 - The International Association of NITROX and Technical Divers (IANTD) today announced the publication of two new training manuals: The "Overhead Environment Diver Student Workbook", by Frans Vandermolen, is designed to teach divers how to plan and safely execute dives in the overhead environment, either in a cavern or within the natural light zone of a shipwreck. The "DPV Diver Student Workbook", by Greg Dawe, is designed to teach divers how to safely integrate Diver Propulsion Vehicles (DPVs) in the planning and execution of extended-range dives. These new publications join IANTD's extensive library of training materials, authored by such diving industry experts as Dick Rutkowski, Lee Somers PhD, Gary Taylor, and Tom Mount. Commenting on the release of the manuals, Tom Mount, IANTD's president, remarked, "IANTD continues to grow and evolve with the sport of technical diving. These manuals will be followed shortly by an internationally authored wreck diving manual, and a cave diving manual." Mount also commented on the upcoming AquaCorps Rebreather Forum, "Rebreathers are the next great leap in technical diving. IANTD expects to play a leading role in the establishment of rebreather training and training standards." IANTD is the leading provider of NITROX and technical diver education and training materials.
