FWIW, this morning as I drove to work with six freshly filled tanks in the back of my Honda Civic, I turned onto a ramp off the Interstate and sent a steel 95 skidding through the slot between twinned AL80s. It punched a hole in the plastic shell providing the illusion that there is any substance between the inside of the car and the outside of the car. This is the stuff of nightmares for one of my friends. What it told me was that I really need to come up with some kind of stabilizing device for a Honda Civic that frequently holds as many as 8 full tanks. The next tank that slides so dramatically won't have a plastic shell to soften the impact. I can see why bureaucrats could be made sensitive to the issue of tank transport. We (divers) are mostly just carrying air. I suspect others carry much less benign gases on a regular basis. John H-C
