JB, I have a pair of 104's made in 1971, and two made in 1987. Nether shows any signs of rust. Your frineds may be thinking of the genesis pressed steels, which are known pieces of shit. I use two 102's as oxygen bottles, about all they are good for, but only because somebody left them at my house (rather than throw them away). My fabers have never rusted, I have two 121's and two 95's, also oxygen bottles. JJ had some that did rust, however, as did many others.
