Here's a techdiver sucess story, that goes a long way to proving that a list like this is worth our involvment. Several weeks ago I started a thread about remote surface buoys. Many of you contributed good ideas, either through Techdiver or to me directly. The consensus of opinion was that AP Valves of Great Britian made a nifty remote surface buoy with an OP releif valve, but that it was unavailible in the States. Jonas Anderson, in Sweeden, whom I have never met or spoke to directly, contacted me also. He said that he had a friend from Seattle visiting Sweeden and would send an AP Valves SMB home with him. I picked up the SMB today. Pretty cool, huh? I left $40.00 (US) cash with her. If this is the incorrect amount, please contact me by phone (206-972-9485) or e-mail. Thanks very much for this favor. It is nice to know that the net actually works, but nicer that people unknown to each other are willing to take some time and make an effort to help others. And, after all, diving is only recreation; we're not talking about curing world hunger here! Thanks again.
