Just an admission that we do not yet understand all the factors. In my job, I use chaos theory to help model and understand traffic flow in networks. Now, we understand networks quite well but that does not mean that we can accurately predict how the network will behave when we approach a saturation point. That is why people like me make the really big bucks. (NOT) Of course, what is happening here, is that we are both describing events in terms that are the most comfortable for us. It is quite true that that when ones only tool is a hammer, everything looks a lot like a nail. :-} :~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~: :Patrick Murphy : murphy@un*.sl*.un*.co* : :Unisys, Government Systems Division :"Ah, this is obviously some strange : :McLean, VA : usage of the word _safe_ that I wasnt: :(703) 847-2545 : previously aware of." : : Opinions expressed are mine alone : Arthur Dent, THHGTTG : ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~The score: Opinions-3 A**holes-1~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
