Tom, While the moma's boy tactics of Stone and friends is what I have commented on so far, perhaps you are right in that there are other more imortant criteria. It would seem that by far the greatest threat so far is in having a guy like King, in a position where he can finance a group like Stone's, and buy his way into more limelight in a penetration into Wakulla. While I have heard SO MANY incidents of King's pretense without skills, one of the worst and most appropriate examples of the danger he represents is seen in his last foray into Sally Ward----you might want to relate this story to the list---about how he had "walled out" Sally Ward, and said it went nowhere---- and as we know, WKPP found this to be GROSSLY untrue, Sally Ward becoming known as a very significant system much bigger that King ignorantly reported. Why don't you tell a few more stories about King---I'm sure you must know some. Do you want to let this stroke buy glory in Wakulla again? And what ramifications will this have on future fame seekers and cave exploration? The people doing true environmental work may no longer have access.
