There have been some pretty nasty posts floating around that to the casual visitor give a bad picture. There really is no way around this (don't give me any of this PGP crap). To use electronic mail posted to a public forum as a lever for anything is a poor method. There have been a couple of instances of libel proceedings based upon comments of this nature - to no avail.
