I'm not an MD so I checked with DAN. They think breastfeeding is not 
a risk. You can work out why you think it should be and talk to them.

Serena,

There are two possible answers to your question:

1) It has been proven that you should not dive;

or

2) Nothing has been proven, but a prudent doctor would still advise you
to stay out of the water.

I know very well what being grounded is like. It's not pleasant, but you
can't always get what you want (but if you try, sometimes you just might
find you get what you need!).
