The fact that the flow rate of the cmfv was not checked prior to the dive just adds insult to (possible) injury! I was looking at the recent edition of Aquacorpse and from the their description of the Fieno I would say that the flow rate is 6.5 l/m and the mix is 40%. I don't have the actual numbers in front of me. The commonly used max metabolic rate is 3 liters/minute. I don't even need the counter lung equation to figure out that you can go hypoxic if you work hard enough! Barrie Kovish Vancouver, Canada
