george thanks for your reply-i figured you'd be the first with a response. sorry you still feel the need to add a little Anglo-Saxon expletive-guess it's just your sense of humour. any way bear with me on this one for just a minute- if you've already tried it i'll gladly bow to your superior experience. it seems to me that if you were to put a regulator with an extra short hose on the right post that regulator would sit on the chest ok as a backup. putting the regulator with the long hose on the left post poses no problem with routing- at worst you might need to us a fractionally longer hoseto give the required deployed length. my reason for suggesting this switch is that though we all know we shouldn't be bumping the roof we all aslo know that it happens and that left hand posts can get rolled off that way. even though i might have been checking both regulators at intervals i'd still rather not find out that the left had rolled off just after giving away my working reg on the right post to a diver needing air. i just don't see the reason to allow a potentially very stressful situation like this to occur if there is a way to avoid it that does not have a down side to it. as i said if you've already tried this or something very similar and it doesn't work then please let me know and i won't waste time and money trying it. if you haven't tried it let me know and i'll set it up to see how it runs. if there's any really logical reason why it shouldn't work your input is appreciated. looking at your light in a video really doesn't make me just want to rush out and buy one as good as it may be- as i already said for as long as my square light functions ok within the sphere of my diving then i see no reason to pan it or replace it. my own equipment only needs to be suitable for the type of diving i'm doing -not the dives you or anyone else are doing. if i ever come begging to dive wakulla with you then i'll gladly accept whatever equipment requirements you impose since you know the dive conditions there and the appropriate gear needs. i'm sure you will have some comments and welcome them both good and not so good. please reply in english if possible thanks tony phillips
