On Larry he dives the same system he always has, as long as I have
knowm him he has buttmounted lights except when diving with you on WKP
projects.

Regardless of what you say there is nothing wrong or less safe in
buttmounting va waist mounting a light.

By the way I PAY my way also, Im not sponsored so I use equipment that
serves my needs. I most likely have as many 10's of thousands of
dollars invested as you do.

Again on a project a given way is agreed on, Your system is outstanding
and proven. On a project you also have the ability, the justification
and the control to insist that everyone involved performs to a specific
standard and that does make the team a safer one for having total
compatiability.

For diving outside of a given project, there are other outstanding and
proven systems. And there are valid safe reasons for the selection of
components or setups that neither you nor I advocate that are safe for
the dives being made and the type of dives. I do not not have the
ability nor do you to force everyone to do as I do or as you do. most
people who are in tech diving are rather independent individuals who
earn the right of choice and although I may not agree with them I
respect them.

I do not dive old sytems, my equipment config is always in a state of
evolution. This I beleive is known as remaining abreast of the
evolution of the sport. For instance my old config was a waist mounted
light I changeds to butt mount as I prefer it. I use both on occassion
but for my personal cave dive I like butt mounting. I do not think
where lights are mounted is asafety issue. When I waist or buttmount I
it is equally safe. You would have great difficulty proving
buttmounting is dangerous. Not compatiable with your team configuration
yes I agree.

The transpac again for injured backs it is excellent and it is as
stable as my backplate. Yes, i have customized it just as you and I
customize backplate setups. so either the backplate or transpac either
of us would use is not a off the shelf product. But either will work
off the shelf.

How long is your knee going to keep you out of the water and when do
you start thearpy? I can relate to knees to, but with the new
procedures they seem to fare well over time. seems like football has
taken a toll on most of us.

George did you get my private email ref the dpv.

I think we have covered this subject good enough and it is time to move
on to other areas.
