I enjoyed diving the Cis Lunar Mk 5 yesterday. I was diving with Kevin Gurr , who like Richard Pyle has been using the MK 4 and has been developing the MK 5 for the last year. Kevin has in excess of 120 hours on the Mk 4 and several on the Mk 5 now. The 5 will be on the market in August and we will be teaching the first course at IANTD in August of 96. To attend you must purchase one. I agree with Pyle the safety factors built into the MK 5 are extreme and you can easily dive it manually if all electronics failed. It swims great and is an ideal unit for serious tek divers. Like ALL rebreathers it is not risk free. For those who need the capability it offers and who can afford it, they will discover it is an outstanding unit . We (Kevin Gurr, Kevin Denlay, Billy Deans, Tom Doughtery, Larry Raye, with helium at $350.00 (US) a cylinder it is the only feasiable way to do it) plan to dive it in the Solomons on the Atlanta(400 fsw) next November. I also plan to use both it and the Odessey in caves however I favor the Mk 5 for cave diving and deeper dives. Tom
