Try a little calcualtion. What is the volume of 38 g (a large cartridge
size) of CO2 at 1 bar? Density is 1.951kg/m3 (0C,1bar). So
V=m/roh=0.038/1.951=0.019 m3
that is 19 liters or a filled medium sized BC at the surface.

At 58 m/190 ft density is (P=680kPa) 13.9 kg/m3 so we have 0.038/13.9=0.0027 m3
or 2.7 liters.

Go figure.
