Frederic, we use Hamilton Research for our dive tables, but we
also run them on DECOM , and manipulate that to try different scenarios,
but we always go back to Dr. "Bill" for the final table. Abyss is also
good for this, but I do not always need the deatail aavailable in this
program , since I am usually only looking for ceilings and comparative
referencing to see how changing the dive will effect deco. We always
use the same gas, and the same four deco gasses at the specfied depths,
so nothing really changes.

This weekend we are doing a dive in donwstream Sullivan. I discovered
that if I get my support divers to put in two stage bottles of 32% nitrox
for me in the sinkhole, I can do an 80 minute downstream dive at 240 to
the "Bitter End", and then come back, pick up the two bottles, and go to
the Spring Room the other way (5500 feet) and have a perfect deco, giving me
only 30 more minutes in water time than if I sit in the sinkhole and deco
like a clam. I tow a scooter downstream, so I will be able to switch
to it for the upstream dive. My light last for five hours (nicad), and both of
my scooters burrn for two at 200 feet per minute. This is the fun of deco
software and diving with a bunch of psyco kids. - G
