The Apex green knobs indicate Nitrox ready at time of manufacture at the
factory - The Apex is available non nitrox ready with black Knobs - The big
differnce between APEX and MDE is that the MDE are a modular valve system,
the Apex is a manifold - Althought Apex do produce Valves you cannot add the
centre isolator section to the valves to make them into a manifold its a
complete replacement.  The MDE manifold can be built iver time and even
stripped down if required - the centre section removed and either alternative
takeoffs (to produce a Y valve) or blanking plates fitted to the valves -
this means (theoretically) that you can take your twin 10L manifolded set and
strip it to make two 10L stages for when you are diving your twin 12l Trimix
