Walt, If I ran out of air underwater I would go for the regulator my buddy is breathing off of and make no apologies for doing so. You don't know that you've run out of air with a full set of lungs, you only know it when you try to inhale. Well, if I try to inhale and get nothing but a dry suck, then I will make no excuses for my actions because at that point I need air, and need it then. The story which was told on here in this thread raised one point. The diver who was in need and grabbed the regulator out of Tim's mouth wasn't even Tim's buddy. How can you discuss gas sharing with someone who's not your buddy? In Tim's incident it could have been a total tragedy, however he was able to go back and get the lobster. Ken
