I think you didn't read the scenario very closely... The guy who
GRABBED the regulator was NOT the divers buddy, he was simply on the
same dive trip.  Tell me you know EVERYONE on the boat ALL THE time
and either you don't go on many dive trips or you're rich and rent the
whole boat.
