If this were true than I suppose that > WKPP would not be using them...but I just had to ask - Allen Allen, I'm a WKPP safety diver, and sometimes "sink hole checker outer". I dive Pressed Steel 104's. Most of us do. They're the perfect tank. Awesome bouyancy characteristics. It's nice to know that with a dry suit (neoprene) that with these tanks empty I still wont be floating. I did a test, drained them down to 100psi and at 10' I was still slightly negative. This is good. As for manifold, I use both the Sherwood Selpac and the older Scubapro. I like both. The Sherwood has a compression fitting, the Scubapro uses O-Rings. The Scubapro is lower profile (advantage), the Sherwood is simple (I believe in the "KISS" principle) without the O- Rings. A lot of the guys like the Scubapro because of the lower profile, O-Ring, etc. however you can't find them anymore. George is a mutant. He dives DIN and seems to like the Sea Elite 300 bar DIN manifold. I know nothing about this manifold since I don't like DIN connections and could care less. Some of the divers are also using Pressed Steel 125's. They're not using OMS (which just OEM's someone elses tanks) to my knowledge.
