Andy, please be careful what you say - repeating and
paraphraseing what I said about Crea will only get these
guys going again. If I want to insult someone, I would
like to do it myself and get the full pleasure and effect.
Crea's tables are just a ridiculously padded waste of time,
and have no business being discussed on a technical diving
forum, but should be found under "phobias" , "witchcraft",
"folklore", or just "bullshit". We all put Buehlmann on a
spreadsheet before we found out a better way - so what.
You and Rich both need to defer these discussions to the
pros on here. I just use the stuff, other created it for me.
My use is being misinterpreted. I do not switch to air and then
nitrox to increase the inert gas gdiffeential, but as a delivery
vehilce fot he higer oxygen, the most improtant factor. It is
nice not to be accumulating more of the same inert gas, so
switching between helium and nitrogen is helpoful there.
Please see the extensive studies on these topics, and you will
find that the oxygen window, and the bubble mechanics are the real
deal. There are guys on here who really knw this stuff, let them
tell us. -G
