Why have a long hose if you dive alone? - Std hoses are cheaper and you would 
not need to bother about stowing it. If gas sharing is not a concern then you 
don't need a long hose.

For the 100 times you practice stowing a long hose in whatever 'strangled' way 
you wish to use it will bite your ass the first time you need it when the shit 
hits. Believe me when I say I have tried every way going - they work fine on 
'deployment drills' the true test of the system should it fail is a real
bummer.
