Rich, >But, since the reason I had a lung-full of quinaldine was ultimately >his fault (I was catching fish for him), the use of a buddy in that >case is sort of cancelled out. Ultimately his fault eh??? The placing of fault that you did here doesn't mate too well with your personal responsibility theory that you espout so much. More like the reason you had a lung-full of quinaldine was that you choose to do that particular dive and accepted responsibility for whatever happend during that dive... Remember, no excuses, that's what you say, isn't it??? Now, how does that personal responsibility thing go??? I was also suprised that no one else picked up on this, particularly since you're one of the more vocal proponents of personal responsibility. If I may quote from your often used signature... ******************************************************************* "WHATEVER happens to you when you willingly go underwater is COMPLETELY and ENTIRELY your own responsibility! If you cannot accept this responsibility, stay out of the water!" ******************************************************************* So, how do you reconcile your quinaldine incident with this personal responsibiliy thing??? Sounds like theres a pretty big contradiction there. Of course something like this may be able to be explained afer the fact but it sounds like you're caught dead to rights... I noticed you didn't have a .sig on that post either - any correlation :^) -Carl-
