I think the UW Kinetics "3 C Cell" is actually the SL-4, 4 cell. At
any rate, George likes the Oceanic 3 C Cell lights, hard to find
these days. Some other guys like the "Princeton Tec" lights (AA
lights). I personally use the SL-4's (small, compact, 4 C cell).

The key to backup lights is to have a small compact light that the
bulb is matched for the batteries. i.e. if the battery output is 6v
you do not want to use a 4.5v bulb because this increases the risk of
burning the filament when the light is turned on.

The "Mini-C"'s aren't too good (sorry Ike) because of their size. The
UK-1200's (yes, I've seen people put them on their tanks, hell I used
to leave one on a D-Ring on my tank myself before I reformed) are
really too big and cumbersome.

On the webbing under the arm. I use innertube to hold them down, I've
seen other people use tank neck O-Rings.

Depends if you're Jane Russell or not.

The chest straps I've seen are on a fixed ring in the webbing. I
don't have a chest strap (I'm a big boy, don't need one).

Single crotch strap works fine. I haven't been uncomfortable
scootering with it. Two straps seems like overkill. KISS, "Keep It
Simple Sadler".
